We inform you that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has launched a new Small Animal Carcass Donation Program.
This new program is coordinated by the General Service for Experimental Animal Research (SGIAE) of the ULPGC. With this, the collection of corpses is made possible for the collegiate clinicians in Las Palmas to dispose of the body of the animal (dog or cat) and whose purpose will be the donation for teaching at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the ULPGC.
The company in charge of collecting the body will be Ambucan (629 357 264) and the single fee for this service is 30 euros per animal. In the event that the collection is made during the weekend or holidays, the initial price will be increased by 15 euros.
The body of the animal must be properly treated and must be kept refrigerated or frozen for collection. In addition, the attached form must be properly completed (document for donation) of donation by the owner of the animal.
The animals will be properly transported with the handling of the body in isolation and following current regulations to finally take it to the necropsy room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
