From today until November 9 you can visit the exhibition «Outbreak: epidemics in a connected world» in the entrance hall of the Veterinary Library.
This exhibition has been organized by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Washington DC) in collaboration with the OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) and other international institutions, coinciding with the centenary of the famous flu pandemic in 1918. This event aims to inform about the human, animal and environmental factors that contribute to epidemic outbreaks (outbreaks) in a globalized and connected world, where infectious agents move freely between borders and continents, with a potential impact on human health and in animal health, as well as in the economy.
on our blog Teberite You can find more information, as well as two videos on the Ebola virus and bird flu, which complement this exhibition.
