From October 9 to 11, at the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, will be held ''Patents Week', organized by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Fundación Canaria Parque Científico Tecnológico of the ULPGC.
Patent Week Gran Canaria It is the first event of dissemination and training on Industrial Property of these characteristics that is carried out at a national level. It aims to raise awareness of the importance and value of protecting quality research, in order to contribute to technological progress and development.
The objective is make visible the research results of the ULPGC and promote the exchange of experiences between researchers, administrations, companies etc. to get the most out of your research.
The event will feature a presentation by some of the ULPGC inventions protected up to now and with training activities on the principles of industrial property, the software patent protection and the patent search in databases. The latter is taught by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
As an innovative element, "appointments" will be held between researchers with research areas susceptible to synergy, and between these and companies interested in the technology that is developed in the ULPGC, so as to promote the research transfer process that is generated in our University.
As of October 9, a permanent exhibition on the 3rd floor of the Elder Museum, what will he do a tour of the inventions of the ULPGC in its 30 years of life, coinciding with the celebration of the 30th anniversary.
