The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will host the traveling exhibition "Volcanoes in Motion: El Hierro and La Palma", from April 17 to May 5. This exhibition has been carried out within the framework of the LAJIAL research project, dedicated to the study of the geochronology and petrogenesis of the most recent volcanism (Holocene) on the island of El Hierro (Canary Islands). Its objective is to disseminate knowledge about volcanism in the Canary Islands, from its origin to its last volcanic eruption that occurred on the island of La Palma in 2021. It is structured into five thematic blocks, which include two panels each with an extensive graphic representation (photos, figures and maps) accompanied by short and simple texts.
The inaugural talk will take place next Monday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m., in front of Classroom 6C of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, a place for the exhibition.
